The state of Missouri has many electric power stations and many different types of energy sources.
The top ten power producing plants in Missouri are : Labadie, Iatian, Rush Island, New Madrid, Callaway, Thomas Hill, Sioux, Hawthorn, Meramec, Dogwood. All of these ten use coal as a primary energy source, with the exception of Dogwood (natural gas) and Callaway (nuclear).

In addition Missouri has Bagnell Dam and Table Rock Dam (both hydroelectric), and Taum Sauk (water pumping/hydroelectric) power plants.
